Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Sama Photo (samaphoto.app) handles your data. The site is run by [owner or business name], referred to here as "we".

1. Your photos and the files you open

When you open a photo in Sama Photo, your browser reads it directly from your device. All editing, filters, anime conversion, background removal, sticker making and video export happen inside your browser, using your device's processor.

• Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.
• A photo stays in your browser's temporary memory only while the page is open. It is erased when you close or refresh the page, or press "Clear image".
• Files you download (images, stickers, videos and GIFs) are saved on your own device. We keep no copy.
• The same applies to fonts you add yourself: your browser reads them locally and sends them nowhere.

Technical guarantee: the site uses a Content Security Policy that stops the browser itself from sending any data from the page to an outside server. Anyone with technical experience can check this in the browser's developer tools and will find no request carrying a photo.

2. AI tools

The anime, subject detection and background removal features use AI models that run on your device. The first time you use one, your browser downloads the model file from our site and keeps it in its cache storage so it doesn't download again.

These files are generic tools, identical for every user, and contain no information about you or your photos. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

We don't use your photos to train any AI model, and we couldn't, because they never reach us.

3. What our hosting provider records

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). As with any website, the hosting provider automatically records technical details of requests for the site's pages and files, including:

• IP address.
• Browser type and operating system.
• Date and time of the request.
• The page or file requested.

These logs never include your photos or anything you do inside the editor. We use them only to run the site and protect it from attacks and abuse, and we don't try to link them to your identity. The hosting provider keeps them under its own privacy policy.

4. What we don't do

• We don't use cookies.
• We don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't show ads.
• We don't sell any data or share it with advertisers.
• We don't load files from other companies' servers. Fonts, libraries and AI models are all hosted on our site.

5. When you contact us

If you email us, we keep your message and email address only to reply and follow up on your request, and we delete them within [12 months] after the conversation ends, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

6. Pro subscription and payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the official seller of the subscription (Merchant of Record), which processes payment details, invoices and taxes under its own privacy policy. Your card details never reach us.

• Lemon Squeezy shares with us the order details needed to provide the service and support, such as your name, email, country and plan.
• When you activate Pro, your browser stores your license key on your device (Local Storage) so the subscription stays active. You can remove it with "Deactivate on this device" or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• To check your subscription, your browser sends only the license key to our server, which verifies it with Lemon Squeezy. Nothing else is sent, and this has nothing to do with your photos.

We create no accounts and ask for no passwords, and your photos stay on your device in every case.

7. Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop processing it, under the laws that apply, including Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection. Because we keep no photos and create no accounts, the only data we are likely to hold about you is any correspondence with us. To make a request, email the address at the end of this page.

8. Children

Sama Photo collects no personal data from its users and asks for no information about age or identity. We recommend that children under [13] use the site with a parent or guardian.

9. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and uses security settings that block data from being sent to outside parties and stop the site from being embedded in other sites. Because your photos never leave your device, their security depends on the security of your device itself.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the way the site works changes, and we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, such as starting to collect new data, we will show a clear notice on the site before it takes effect.
